Frequently Asked Questions
Will Haughton Honey with CBD get me high?
No. By law CBD has to have less than 3% of the narcotic THC compound.
Will I fail a drug test while using CBD?
In a word, no. Only THCs show up in drug tests.
What ailments do people take the honey for?
- A wide range, including:
- Post-traumatic stress
- Epileptic seizures
- Everyday aches and pains
- Menstrual and menopausal difficulties
- Effects of Parkinson’s Disease
- Coronary inflammation
- Irritable Bowel Disease
What does ‘full spectrum’ mean?
Full spectrum is hemp extract that preserves the naturally-occurring cannabinoids and terpenes in the hemp and cannabis plant, except for the illegal, narcotic THC compound. Full spectrum CBD is minimally refined, and is extracted from a single plant.
How much CBD-infused honey should I take?
If you eat two tablespoons every day – morning and evening – you will be ingesting around 0.18 grams of CBD. American researchers say that 0.15 – 0.20 grams is ideal. Anything more has no additional benefit. We suggest starting with a teaspoonful twice a day.
Are there any side-effects?
We know of none. There have been reports of side-effects with synthetic CBD (fatigue, diarrhea, changes in eight and appetite). The CBD we mix with our honey is pure and natural. You can see independent laboratory test results on our website (www.haugtonhoney.com/cbd).
Should I consult my GP?
There’s absolutely no reason not to. Some GPs will know about the benefits of CBD; some others may not.
Do I need to keep my honey in the fridge?
No. With the lid well sealed and away from direct sunlight the honey will keep for ages in your larder.
